Mark Twain, P.T. Barnum, Thaddeus Stevens, Thomas Edison, Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. DuBois, Andrew Jackson, and a nasty theatre fellow named Jim Crow— who were they? If you join this class, you will learn all about them and more! During these eight classes, we will discuss the rebuilding of America, the first impeachment, the Wild West, the development of Native American reservations, the first circus, and the great number of immigrating families. This was a time of great hope and incredible change. Railroad tycoons were roaring across the country and new cities were springing up across the West. Ms Emilie will guide you through this dynamic period of American history with engaging discussions and exciting activities!
