Nail Art

Once a Week Club

Be a masterpiece! Flaunt your beautiful nails all week long, exhibiting new styles of painting and decorating. This is a great opportunity for kids to create, have fun, develop a great skill (save money by doing it themselves!), and make friends from around the world. Ms. Aditi will help you upcycle items around the house while creating beautiful designs. What’s not to like about this amazing experience?​​

Does your child love stories? Then Story Time is for them! Join us as Ms. Eve reads books and presents illustrations by the beloved Dr. Seuss, Audrey and Don Wood, Chris Van Allsburg, and more! We will also sing songs and make simple crafts to enhance our story time experience. (Optional snack ideas will be sent out to parents to accompany their child’s story time.) There will be no stopping our magic carpet as we travel through time and space during our story time!

Land Ahoy!

Week-Long Club

Ahoy, me hearties! From reading a compass to pirate lingo, learn the ins and outs of ships, pirates, and everything in between. Explore the stories of famous buccaneers: Blackbeard, Sir Henry Morgan, and Anne Bonny. Through hands-on activities, scallywags will identify parts of a ship, create their own pirate codes, and design pirate flags—after learning the difference between different Jolly Rogers! How do you keep your ship in order? Why do pirates wear eye patches? Did pirates actually make people walk the plank? Only true privateers will know the answers. Savvy?

Circus Skills

Week-Long Club

The circus has come to town—not to perform, but to recruit! The circus has been around since 1768, inciting applause from hundreds of thousands of entranced audiences. During this five-day circus extraordinaire, master the art of juggling with homemade sock balls, stilt walking with cans, and hula hooping! Performers will focus on keeping their balance, eliminating distractions, and learning from mistakes. Explore contortionism and become a genius of balloon art creation—making dogs, monkeys, poodles, butterflies, swords, and hats! Somersaults, forwards and backwards, we’re anything but on our heads. Come join the circus!

Materials Needed:

Popcorn (microwave or homemade)

Long balloons (for balloon animals)

Rice and socks (for juggling balls—you can also purchase juggling balls)

Buckets or cans (at least 4" in diameter and 4" tall) and string (for stilts)

Writing Our Dreams in Someone Else's

Book Art, Week-Long Club

We’re not reading, but you’ll need a book! Using art and our imaginations, we’re rewriting this story. Using each page as a canvas, we’ll experiment with origami figures, paper illusions, portraits, black-out poetry, spine art, and so much more. Students walk away with not one piece of art but dozens neatly tucked away in a book they call their own.

Normal book (hardback)

Below the Equator

Week-Long Club

Jump on this plane if you’re exploding with adventure! Our journey will take us below the equator, from the shadow lands of Africa, to the unbelievable down under in Australia, to the beautiful mountains of South America, and ending at the freezing, penguin-filled Antarctica! But this journey is not to be seen from the train or bus window—we are going to dive all in! We will dance to new music, create our own pets, build our own Aztec ruins, and take a swim at the South Pole! Be prepared for this hands-on, knee-deep adventure as we begin with our best foot forward!

Mythological Whereabouts

Week-Long Club

We’re heading out! We’ve got to go to Greece and meet King Midas for tea and the Minotaurs for dinner. Then we need to catch our plane to Russia and meet Baba Yaga (yeesh!) and explore her chicken-legged house! So many things to do! Myths come from all around the world and began thousands and thousands of years ago. Early people would explain strange experiences through myths, and when writing was invented, they were written down! Here we’re touring the whereabouts of myths from all around the world: China, Italy, Africa, the New World, Japan—you name it! Grab your suitcase!

Rockin' Robin Around the World

All About Birds, Week-Long Club

Knock knock! Who’s there? Who. Who-who? I didn’t know you were an owl! In Rockin’ Robin Around the World we’ll dive into making bird calls, identifying species, learning about their colors, discovering stories about them, and attracting birds to our own backyards! Did you know there’s a hummingbird that has eggs that are shorter and lighter than a paperclip and that ostriches have eggs that are bigger than melons? Do you want to make bird calls? Do you want to find out what types of birds soar around your backyard? Have you ever heard a bird call and wanted to whistle it back? Join us for our Big Year!*

Small notebook (for recording bird types and facts)


*A personal challenge or an informal competition among birders who attempt to identify as many species of birds as possible by sight or sound within a single calendar year and within a specific geographic area.

Let’s embark on an interesting journey! Full of secrets, surprises, and science, from Egyptian clocks, Greek lighthouses, and Roman bridges to Chinese kites and Mesopotamian soap. We will explore and separate facts from myths, and share funny stories from all parts of the ancient world!
