Troubled Water Between the Wars
So many compelling historical characters were at work during these years: F.D.R., Chiang Kai Shek, Benito Mussolini, Mao Zedong, Adolph Hitler, and General Franco of Spain. Events like Black Tuesday, the Dust Bowl storm, the Great Depression, the Spanish civil war, and the rise of Fascism in Italy. We will focus on the various types of international governing bodies that existed during this time and their effect on the everyday life of citizens. These people and events are essential to the historical literacy of any student, giving them wisdom and understanding of the past that they can apply to the future.
