All the Americas: Geography Adventures (4 weeks)
There is so much to learn from just two continents! Let's jump on a jet plane and touch down in all the cool destinations you can think of in the Americas: North, South, and Central. Children always want to know more than facts about a country, and here we will discover exciting facts and find some astonishing answers to questions like these:

  • Where is the Christ statue from Rio?
  • What does the flat of Peru look like?
  • What is the meaning behind the US stars and stripes?
  • Which popular food comes from Mexico?
  • What is the name of the bird on the Guatemala flag?

We will not only cover basic map reading, mapping skills, and use of geography tools, but we will explain the foreign countries' cultures and customs to help them gain a better understanding of the world.

The Golden Rule and World Religions (4 weeks)**
The Golden Rule is shared by all the world's major religions. The purpose of this class is to create a better understanding of the history, teachings, and culture of other religions and their contributions to our world.  We will begin with the Golden Rule and other guidelines these religions share, then study some of the unique qualities of five major faiths.**

Museums Around the World: Art, Artifacts, and Science Revealed (4 weeks)
From the British Museum in London to the Metropolitan Museum in New York, we will visit great museums around the world and learn about the greatest art and artifacts from the past! Join us as we visit Pompeii (not quite a museum, but close enough), Giverny Gardens (Monet’s home), and the Vatican Museums, where we will walk side-by-side with some of the greatest artists, inventors, and architects that ever lived.

Get Creative!... the Smart Way (4 weeks)
Join us for this creative adventure! Students will train their minds to think creatively as we learn all about various creativity techniques that writers, advertisers, designers, and scientists use (or find helpful) in their endeavors. During each class, students will analyze real cases from different industries, learn tools and techniques to come up with new ideas, and apply their knowledge in their own projects inspired by different creative careers. There is no doubt that this class will be a winner for your child! After this course, students will:

  • Know and apply creativity and problem-solving techniques such as: the method of focal objects, SCAMPER, fantastic binomial, anticipatory failure determination, and six thinking hats
  • Set goals for activities based on a specific problem and existing opportunities for solving it, formulate hypotheses, anticipate the final result, assess and test options to identify the most effective solution and to put ideas into action
  • Reflect on assumptions gained from one context to another unrelated context and identify new meaning
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of ideas, products, performances, methods and courses of action against given criteria
