All students should understand the theory of evolution from a scientific perspective. This class is a beginner’s guide to evolution: what is the theory of evolution and how was it developed? How does Natural Selection drive evolution ever onward? We will survey the evidences of evolution including homologous structures, fossil record, eye-witness accounts, and many others. We will discuss the theory of human evolution based on fossil record evidence. Finally, we will learn about speciation and how new species are made through evolution over time.
