Crazy Emperors, Unhappy Unions, and Fireworks in China

Crazy Emperors, Unhappy Unions, and Fireworks in China

$42.00Price

As the world becomes smaller through improved transportation, everything seems to move faster and everyone is capable of traveling to new and distant lands to start fresh. As Ireland suffers from the potato famine, the Boers and the British are struggling for control of South Africa while the Spanish and Americans struggle over Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Philippines. The Russian czar is paranoid about assassination and the Red Sultan is working to expand the Ottoman Empire. Together, we will meet and study strong leaders, including Theodore Roosevelt, Crazy Horse, Andrew Carnegie, the last Qing emperor of China, and the “Lion of Africa.”
