And that’s not all! Nations have their difficulties and the start of these difficulties dates back even to the 1600s, believe it or not! Students will gain vicarious experience as they draw their own ideas of the Thirty Years’ War, Japanese Isolation, and the battle, fire, and plague in England. We will bask in the glory of King Louis XIV’s Versaille and the reigns of the Indian rulers World Seizer (Jahangir), King of the World (Shah Jahan), and Conqueror of the World (Aurangzeb). There is much to be learned by all of us as we study how these leaders handled power, tragedy, riches, and hardships.
