Tracing Our Origins: Genetics (9 weeks)
Our DNA is the recipe for who we are and what we look like. We will be learning about Gregor Mendel and his theory for genes, basic Mendelian genetics, how to make Punnett, squares, different types of inheritance, and so much more! Through the process, we will have many activities to create our own creatures using these different types of inheritance.
 
Studying the Stars: Astronomy (7 weeks)
We already know about the planets and the sun, but how much do we REALLY know? Did you know the Earth is tilted on an axis? Why do the stars in the sky change through the seasons? Why do planets orbit the sun? Why doesn’t the moon orbit the sun? Why does the moon change throughout the month? What makes eclipses happen? Discover the answers to these questions and many more with us in this incredible class!
