Step back in history with us and rediscover the astounding sights of Stonehenge, the Greek temples, and Buckingham Palace. Find yourself surrounded on every side by Shakespearean actors as you step through the Globe Theatre and make your way to Westminster Abbey to meet the monarchy. Watch life take on meaning as you walk through Greece’s Athens and Thermopylae, near the residences of Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates. Explore Wales: Spend a night at Tredegar House and a day at the Pontcysyllte Aqueducts. Give Scotland and Ireland equal attention when you’re swept away to Edinburgh Castle and Dublin. What beauties will you discover hidden in the mosaic of history?


Searching the African Savanna (4 weeks)

As the second largest continent in the world, Africa spans over 300,000,000 miles. Bring your mosquito net, hat, and water bottle as you traverse the African savanna, the Sahara Desert, and the Congo rainforest. Visit the Swahilis’ towns on the Eastern coast and the salt mines in Mali, Western Africa. Explore how humans’ first ancestors lived and learned to communicate and grow in Africa’s varying climates, eventually heading northeast across the world. Walk along South Africa’s Cape Town, visit the Tomb of Askia—a great Songhai emperor—in Gao, admire one of Kenya’s painting-like national parks, and take your time in Ethiopia, being sure to visit the Babile Elephant Sanctuary and the Blue Nile Falls. Africa’s size is home to an incredible diversity. What will you discover?

 

Arrival in Asia: India, Turkey, Korea, and Japan (4 weeks)

Discover the culture, natural beauty, and religious history of Asia as you gaze at India’s Taj Mahal, Turkey’s Hagia-Sophia, Korea’s Busman city, and Japan’s Temple City. Intrigued and awestruck, explore the Golden City of Jaisalmer, the ruins of Homer’s Troy, and Mount Fuji. Walk back in time as you wander the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village, filled with living museums and narrow streets. Reflect on the incredible love and healing of Japan when you enter the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Find peace of mind on India’s beaches or at Turkey’s Pamukkale, beautiful thermal pools known as the “Cotton Castle”. Immerse yourself in Asia’s colorful culture as you explore the history and beauty knitted thickly into it. 

 

Achieving Zen in the Eastern Hemisphere (4 weeks)

Hopscotch across the Eastern Hemisphere, spending precious, immersive time in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Rediscover the beauty and wondrous complexity of Westminster Abbey, South Africa, Athens, Bukchon Hanoi Village, and Pamukkale. Explore how the growth of these countries influenced one another, strengthening or challenging one another in a battle of ideas and land. Get lost exploring Europe, Africa, and Asia all over again.


Innate and Innovative Beauty: Central America (4 weeks)

Walk along the timeline of Central America, and find yourself in its natural beauties, slipping slowly into its modern features. The Panama Canal stares at you with immense power as you look down its path. The Green Grotto Caves of Jamaica leave you chilled and awed, and the vintage feel of Cuba’s Old Havana pulls you to a time you don’t remember. And, before you step off the timeline, explore what Central America has to offer of the present. Spend an eternity in Cuba’s Trinidad, the Vinales National Park, and Santa Clara; get to know Jamaica as an island and home; and fish, hike, and swim in Panama, the Crossroads of the Americas. Real in Rio and Buenos Aires: Argentina and Brazil (4 weeks)

Are you ready to discover South America through Argentina and Brazil? Hop aboard and buckle up! First stop: the Amazon Rainforest with the Amazon River running through it. Some say the Amazon Rainforest is 55 million years old! Then we'll explore the exciting life of a South American citizen as we explore Brazil’s financial São Paulo and seaside Rio de Janeiro. From the Plaza de Mayo, take a quick look up and around at Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital city, we have a lot more to see! We'll find Teatro Colón, one of the best opera houses in the world, and listen to its incredible acoustics and look at its architecture. We'll finish in Rio with the statue of Christ the Redeemer, a symbolic protector of the people. What will you discover with us when you come to South America?

 

Dances from the South Pacific Islands: Tahiti, Tonga, and Bora Bora (4 weeks)

Synonymous with peace and paradise, the South Pacific Islands offer 30,000 islands, each filled with individual beauty, opportunity, and culture. Explore the three regions of the South Pacific: the unique culture of the Melanesia region, the low land and coral reefs of Micronesia, and the volcanos and high lands of Polynesia. Thrive surrounded by a relaxed pace of life. Experience the islands in a mix of diving, hiking, snorkeling, dancing, and celebrating. In a part of the world set apart by its complexity and diversity, find how life is lived and what it is the people love.

 

Inland, At Sea, and On Shore: The Western Hemisphere (4 weeks)

Discover the exhilarating wonders of the Western Hemisphere as you explore Central America, South America, and the South Pacific. Travel island to island to experience their various stories of discovery and change, brought to them in the 16th century. Journey inland to discover natural wonders and colorful personalities. Pause. What life will you find woven into history’s tapestry? What city, monument, character will you find yourself facing in history’s Western Hemisphere?
