Eggs-perimental Science (4 weeks)

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall and took a great fall, but all the king's horses and all the king’s men wouldn’t have had to put him together again if he’d bounced like a ball. What?! Did you know your egg can bounce like a ball if you soak it in vinegar? In this most eggcellent class, we will be using eggs and fun eggs-periments to learn a bit about physics, biology, and chemistry. We’ll learn about the shape and structure of eggs, the composition of eggs, and the importance of eggs in life!

Is the Lion Truly King of the Jungle? (7 weeks)

Join us as we learn about the kingdoms of animals! What's the biological difference between the one-humped Dromedary and two-humped Bactrian? Scientists everywhere categorize living organisms to better understand life. In this biology class, we will be learning about the 6 Kingdoms of life including the following: eubacteria, fungi, plants, animals, archaebacteria, and protists. Learn how to identify the genus and species of your favorite animals, create dichotomous keys, and expand your scientific knowledge of the world around you!

Hands-On Ultimate Science (but don’t blow up the house!) (5 weeks)

This is our grand finale! The final part of our learning about the Scientific Method. In this class, we will put into practice what we’ve learned about the steps to the Scientific Method and how to read and record data and students will develop their own experiment. We will also practice reading and studying past experiments (which is often put into big science examinations as children get older—like the ACT, SAT, PRAXIS, etc).
