Bornean orangutans grab fruit with their fingers and palm because they can’t use their thumbs. Imagine not being able to use your thumbs. Now, imagine being able to do the order of operations. Now you know what it’s like to be a Bornean Orangutan.


  • Students use the order of operations to evaluate integer expressions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Students evaluate integer expressions involving parentheses and exponents using the order of operations
  • Students determine the absolute value of integers between -10 and 10 using a number ling.


  • Recommended for: Ages 11+ / Grades 6-7
