Get Off the Fence! Persuasive Writing

Get Off the Fence! Persuasive Writing

$84.00Price

On the fence? Persuasive writing is among the most engaging and demanding forms of writing. It asks writers to understand various viewpoints, support points with credible evidence, and present compelling arguments in an organized, winning fashion. In a mix of debate and written argument, students plunge into persuasion, building pieces that are supported, powerful, and strikingly clear. Students are taught how to find credible sources, quote and paraphrase others effectively, and navigate opposing sides. Through active language, strong points, and relevant examples, students engage the audience in understanding the art of argument.

Milestone: Ability to express ideas in a supported, organized fashion with strong, engaging language.
