With the ability to print maps, explorers were having lots of fun exploring uncharted parts of the world just so they could be the ones to add them to the newly printed maps. Newfoundland was discovered, but it was so cold, people never stayed for the winter. Explorers sailed up and down the coasts of North and South America looking for rivers to take them to India and China (and sometimes they thought they had found India or China, but they had found other lands instead). And then the question was—which king or queen owned these new lands? Oh my. It was a mess, but is now intriguing to learn about! As you look back at the world journey you have taken, you will see that the world has changed dramatically. This is your chance to take another look at China, India, the Ottoman Empire, England, Spain, Africa, and the Americas and see all the wonders of the marvelous Middle Ages.
