From Colonies to Country

Watch as the 13 original colonies—small and underprepared—take on the world power ofGreat Britain in a fight for freedom and independence. Meet the most important figures of thephysical war, like George Washington and Patrick Henry, and peek into the great minds ofAlexander Hamilton and James Madison who ignited a revolution with their writings and essays.Learn about the important battles fought on American soil in Boston and cross the Delawarewith Washington on the day after Christmas. Listen to the stirring words of Thomas Paine as hecalls on American citizens to defend their freedoms. In this class, we will discuss some of ourmost important founding documents: the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, andthe Federalist Papers.
