Crashing Crusades, Corrupt Kings, Genghis Khan, and the Forbidden City

$42.00Price

So many exciting stories! This time your magic carpet will take you to Jerusalem, Spain, England, and China. You will travel with Richard the Lion Heart as he fights for Jerusalem, giving time for his brother to steal his own kingdom back home. Meanwhile, El Cid fights to protect Spain from Muslim armies. You will travel with Marco Polo and his father as they take in the beautiful treasures of China and finally return to Italy (forty years later) dressed as peasants with their pockets full of jewels and treasures. Why did they dress as peasants on their journey? So everyone would think they were poor and thieves would not rob them, of course! It's time to pretend you live in the Forbidden City as a member of the emperor’s family. Can you imagine what that was like? Join this class and you will find out!
