Around the World with Art and Music

Grab your passport! Let’s travel around the world and experience rich culture through some really neat music and extraordinary art. When traveling to or visiting another country, it’s exciting to see how culture (food, dance, style, traditions, expectations) and values shift. Countries are defined in many ways--through politics, geographic placement, architecture, and music to name a few. Composers and artists possess a distinct style and rhythm of work, and students discover how these styles overlap in and across countries. As students connect countries with their art, music, and expression, they gain a wider perspective and acceptance of the beauty and values in different countries.
