Nothing is more fascinating than the world around us. Students will have the fascinating opportunity to research an animal of their choice in depth. Equipped with unquenchible curiosity, students explore every aspect of the animal. Where is it from? Where does it live? Is it dangerous? Is it cute? Can I have one, Mom? Students learn how to use multiple sources, making notes and connecting information. Through engaging infographics, they share their information in a new media, expanding their audience. What will your student discover?

A senior at Southern Virginia University, Miriam Bonney is excited to finish a triple major in English, Design, and Business. While in high school, she started tutoring at the local college and has taught multiple subjects online to ages 6-14 for over six years. As a teacher and tutor, she encourages her students to discover how they learn and to utilize their existing capabilities to excel. Miriam has studied literature and writing for four years and loves reading. Her favorite books include A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain, My Ántonia by Willa Cather, and The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. Miriam's hobbies include obstacle course racing, running, in-line skating, telling funny stories, and reading.
